2 Ways to Wear Work Trousers For Everyday

I read a post recently about compromise, how we make compromises every day, from relationships to friendships to family to holidays to business and yes, even what we wear. Compromising in your wardrobe to me means breaking the label I’ve given an item and getting creative with how I style it, like a pair of classically professional trousers…

I wanted to take this pair of trousers (I got for under $50!) and style them for an everyday look and a night out look. I love these pants, they are so well made I can’t even tell you how much more expensive they look and feel. The cuffed hem and belted detail give it something extra and the true high waist? In. Love. And because I love them so much I wanted to be able to wear them more than just for meetings and around the office.

I think a lot of people don’t buy something because they think “well this is classic and professional and I don’t work in an office environment and I’m more edgy/feminine anyway” which is such a shame! Just because this item is a bit more tailored and seemingly for the office, that doesn’t mean I reach for a silky blouse and blazer, no ma’am, you can easily compromise on the label and wear it with something as casual as a chambray shirt, or as edgy as a cropped leather jacket, and find that they are a lot more versatile than you think. So here is how I styled my golden egg trousers to get a lot more wear out of them and still feel chic AF.

For errands and a coffee date…

For happy hour or date night…

I loved wearing these for everyday, what do you think? What’s one item in your closet you want to mix up?

Thanks for reading!
