The annual question: What to wear for NYE Maybe you have a family get-together, or a party with some of your friends? Or maybe you are going to a bar or club for a New Year’s bash? Regardless of your plans this LBD is perfect to ring in the New Year!
I love a LBD, that might seem a bit obvious as I’m pretty sure we all do, but I’m honestly kind of a sucker for them. I feel like they are an easy buy because they are so versatile and innately chic and stylish.
Every year I ask myself 2 things: What am I doing for New Year’s and what am I going to wear?!? I feel like this is what most of us go through this time of year So I had to share the latest LBD to my collection from Janelle James that would be perfect for any NYE celebration.
I love 3 things about this dress: the fit and flare cut with the super cute skirt, the lovely lace and mesh detail, and the fact that it’s a bit modest with the higher neck line and thicker straps. Now you all know how much I love detail and this pear shaped girl always reaches for a fit and flare, but normally the simple and more modest cut of the top would seam a bit boring to me. Not the case! Actually I loved that this would be appropriate for just about anything from a funeral to a date night and when I saw it my guy popped into my head.
A little back story… We were out on a double date once and I was wearing a LBD from Lulu’s that was also a fit and flare cut, lace detail, modest neckline (I just realized a pattern here as I was writing this…wow). Anyway Jesse commented on how much he liked it because it was kind of modest and just revealing enough, and also I looked great in it naturally So when I saw this dress I thought of that moment and had to have it, and low and behold, guess who loves it? LoL #Winning
I told him that’s what I was planning to wear for New Year’s so we better have some plans to go with my dress! Does anyone else do this or just me? All well, on the plus side I’m excited because I have my Christmas shopping just about done and this year we are spending the holiday’s with Jesse’s family in Idaho. I always look forward to going there this time of year for the snow #HateTheColdLoveTheSnow #ThatMakesSense
What are your holiday plans? Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
