13 miles RT but you barely notice the elevation gain so if you want to try a longer hike that isn’t really challenging, this is it. All Trails rates it as hard but I would give it moderate at most and only bc of the length. I get winded pretty quickly (maybe todays the day I’ll get back to a regular workout schedule? 🤔) and I wasn’t at any point during this hike for reference.

Gorgeous views and multiple beautiful waterfalls the entire way, not to mention lots of great swimming spots. It’s also less than an hour outside PDX and has lots of parking in the lot. $5 park fee and you might also spot the adorable local wildlife.. Happy hiking.

It just feels wrong to visit Arizona and not go for a hike. I love hiking in the desert and this year there was a burst of color and green from the extra rain they got. If you have a chance to visit Lake Pleasant near Phoenix, do. It’s a gorgeous, easy hike and we saw 🫏🐍 Peep stories to see!
